One of A Kind - A Monochromatic Palette

This is my first time participating in Circleville.... I was stressed about what project I will do to keep up with the talented group of ladies participating in this event.  Ooh my goodness, my head is going to explode!

To make it easy and simple to me I decided to play with one and only one color... I am doing a monochromatic card and hope for best possible results. Here I go...

Shapes and Cricut Cartridges used:
Rectangle at 4 1/2" from George and Basic Shapes
Butterfly and butterfly shadow at 2 3/4" from Home Decor Solutions
"Cake's" at 5 1/4" from Just Because Cards

Cut the listed shapes from your desired color cardstock.

Ink the edges of the rectangle cut and use a white pen to draw faux stitching around the edges.
Tie a ribbon around the lower part of the rectangle.

Mount the entire piece on the front of the "Cake's" cut from the Just Because Cards cartridge.
Stamp a sentiment on a strip of your color cardstock and mat the strip onto white cardstock.
Mount the sentiment across the bottom of the card.

Layer the butterfly cut onto the butterfly shadow cut and mount the cut on the upper part of the card with 3d dots.

And now she is finished!

The entire exercise took less time to do than to prepare this blog post!

Now, the challenge for you is to use a monochromatic palette to create a card or a page!  Have fun with your monochromatic theme.  Give it a try - it's fun.

I can't wait to see what you come up with!
